Five months after our biggest humanitarian campaign in aid of Typhoon Haiyan rehabilitation, we landed in Tacloban to announce the campaign results and to meet local staff and survivors.

With an AirAsia team led by AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes, we were joined by Philippine Presidential Assistant for Rehabilitation and Recovery Senator Panfilo Lacson and Mayor of Tacloban Alfredo Romualdez. Also present were representatives of beneficiary organisations  Philippine Red Cross Chairman Richard Gordon, Habitat for Humanity Philippines CEO Charlito Ayco, Hapinoy Co-Founder Mark Ruiz and Rags2Riches President Reese Fernandez-Ruiz.

Shortly after a press conference held at Tacloban Airport, the team left for a visit to Anibong Village, one of the worst-affected communities identified for relocation to higher, safer grounds.
